Comply Or Lose License: Karnataka Minister Warns MNCs To Display Kannadigas Staff Numbers
Karnataka Minister Shivaraj S Tangadagi has asked MNCs to display the number of Kannadigas employed on notice boards.

New Delhi: Amid escalating tiff over inequate usage of Kanna language in nameplates and signboards in state, Karnataka Minister Shivaraj S Tangagi has asked multinational companies to display number of Kannigas employed on notice boards at ir premises. Talking to reporters, Tangagi said that non-compliance with language requirements would le to cancellation of licenses.
“Multinational companies will be required to display number of Kannigas employed on notice boards at ir campuses. Failure to comply with language requirement may result in cancellation of licenses, as stated by Siddaramaiah-led Congress government”, minister warned MNCs.

During a discussion on Kanna Language Comprehensive Development (Amendment) Bill, Tangagi underlined government's commitment to promoting Kanna across various sectors.
He highlighted provisions of bill, particularly mandate for 60 per cent of signage to be in Kanna, as a step towards this goal. Tangagi asserted that government is actively working to enhance usage and visibility of Kanna language across all sectors.

Tangagi furr underscored efforts aimed at delivering judgments in Kanna and promoting use of language among vocates.
Moreover, he announced launch of government's 'Kanna Kavalu' mobile app, enabling citizens to report instances of actions contrary to Kanna interests.

Tangagi reassured that government would review cases against pro-Kanna workers involved in acts such as vandalism and removal of English signboards, indicating a willingness to consider withdrawing such legal actions.
