Bengaluru: The Karnataka capital has been witnessing extremely heavy rainfall for the past few days and according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather is expected to remain the same for the coming week. Amid the Bengaluru Rains, DM has announced that schools and anganwadis will remain closed for today.

The District Collector in Bengaluru has announced the closure of anganwadis and schools in the city amid heavy rains. The schools and anganwadis will remain shut today, October 21, 2024.

Employees Advised to Work From Home in Bengaluru

As Bengaluru battles heavy rains and waterlogging due to the showers, several private companies have asked their employees to work from home as roads are waterlogged also resulting in traffic snarls. 

Bengaluru Rains: Flight Delays and Cancellations Likely

While there has been no particular announcement of flight delay or cancellation by any airline, the delays and cancellations are likely due to the adverse weather conditions. Passengers must keep in touch with their respective airlines for potential changes in their flight schedules.

Bengaluru Weather Update

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bengaluru will witness heavy rains till October 25 and the locals will get respite only next week. A heavy rain warning has been issued by the weather department, warning residents of staying at home and going out only if necessary.
