Aam Ami Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann attacked Centre on Wednesday stating that government praises farmers for growth in pdy production and later blames m for stubble burning. He also cited Minimum Support Price (MSP) levied on pdy as a season for stubble burning. " government should come up with an alternative and provide MSP on or crops as well. If y do so, y will t have any complaint from farmers as y will t grow pdy," he said.
Responding to Bharatiya Janata Party leers questioning his absence during a Parliamentary debate over air pollution in Delhi NCR on Wednesday, AAP MP from Punjab's Sangrur said, "I got date to speak today. issue of pollution is related to Delhi and I am t a resident of city, however, as an AAP MP I will speak today on issue." Bhagwant Mann ded that BJP MPs from national capital including Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan should answer about ir absence during debate as y are residents of Delhi.

When asked about posters targetting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over pollution and contaminated drinking water, Bhagwant Mann replied, "Metro is being run and electric vehicles are being launched. To speak about your policies publicity, it is t our habit to speak about policies implemented for welfare of people. We do t waste money on campaigning and vertisement." He furr targetted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that changing names of ros and historical places is neir development r it resolves issue of an ecomic slowdown in country.

Parliament debates on air pollution
Small farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Presh should t be vilified for stubble burning as it is t a major cause of pollution in Delhi NCR region, members of BJP, Congress and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) claimed in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Participating in a discussion on "pollution and climate change", BJP member representing West Delhi Pravesh Verma took on AAP government in Delhi for blaming stubble burning for pollution in National Capital Region and igring major pollutants, including vehicles and dust. BSP president Mayawati on Tuesday said toxic air pollution is a "dreed problem" which is t only threatening Delhi but entire country, especially densely populated Uttar Presh.
