Bihar: 5 of Family Consume Poison Over Loan Harassment, 1 Dead

Patna: In a tragic incident, a desperate family struggling with mounting debt consumed poison in early hours of Saturday, as per reports.

However,  in incident, far died while remaining four are currently in critical condition.

chilling sequence of events occurred in Bihar's Banka district, where financial crunch, which was allegedly exacerbated by harassment from bank agents over unpaid loans, pushed family to commit suicide.

According to police, he of family worked as an auto driver and h taken loans from multiple private banks to support his family.

However, with relentless pressure to repay, strained family's financial situation.  

"Far and mor said ir reputation was ruined, and y couldn't live with shame. y told us we would all go toger," said man's daughter.

UP Jeweller Kills Family, Attempts Suicide

A jeweller allegedly killed his wife, two daughters and a son by feeding m some poisonous substance and n attempted to end his life by jumping in front of a train, but was saved by Railway Protection Force jawans, police said.

incident came to light when jeweller Mukesh Verma uploed photographs of bodies of his wife and children on his WhatsApp status.

After seeing status, family members checked rooms and found bodies.

According to PTI, Verma killed his family members apparently due to a family dispute and n attempted to end in life by jumping in front of Marudhar Express at railway station here, he said.
