Bihar locals build makeshift boat to travel through flooded areas

As Bihar continues to face water-logging in many areas, on Saturday, locals of Rajendra Nagar have built a makeshift boat to travel through flooded areas

As some areas of Bihar continue to face water-logging problem, On Saturday, locals of Rajendra Nagar constructed a makeshift boat to travel through flooded streets. A few locals were seen putting toger a makeshift bamboo boat to travel through flooded streets and help locals who are still stuck at ir homes, as earlier to commute from one place to or, a lot of people were seen wading through knee-deep waters

A local Priyaranjan Kumar said, "Teams are t carrying out rescue operation anymore so we trying to help some stuck people. water is very dirty and has seeped into our homes. We are facing a lot of problems as re is proper drinking water, food."

NDRF and or authorities have been using tractors to carry out rescue operations in  flood-affected state

" teams are still here. water level has gone down by 1 ft in some areas. We are using tractors for rescue operation and will also help in carrying ir lugg," says an official of NDRF team.

Fogging work begins

Patna Municipal Corporation Officer has also started with fogging process in waterlogged areas. fogging process is done to keep vector-borne diseases at bay.

officer, Saurav Kumar while talking to a news ncy said, " chemical is being sprayed to make water odourless and destroy insects. fogging will decrease chances of spreading of bacteria."

t just in Patna but or low-lying areas like Kankarbagh, Rajendra Nagar, Gardani Bagh, Dak Bungalow, and SK Puri are also facing heavy water-logging issues due to heavy rainfall. As per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Patna and it's surrounding areas are likely to receive few spells of rainfall with thunderstorms and dust storms in upcoming week.
After extremely heavy rainfall that resulted in floods in state, death count has gone up to 73, with nine people reported injured, according to Bihar state officials.
