Bihar Shocker: Nurse Cuts Doctor's Private Parts While Fending Gangrape Attempt

Samastipur: A shocking incident has been reported from Bihar 's Samastipur district where a nurse cut the private parts of a doctor while protecting herself from a gangrape attempt; this happened at a private hospital in the area. Three arrests have been made so far; the incident comes amid the ongoing protests in the country seeking Justice for Abhaya.

The incident happened at RBS Health Care Centre in Gangapur in the Samastipur district on Wednesday night where a nurse was completing her work. Dr Sanjay Kumar, the main accused and two of his associates, who were all drunk, tried to rape the nurse.

That's when while trying to free herself and save herself from being raped, the nurse used a blade to slash at the genitals of the doctor. One of the assaulters was also the institution's administrator.

After attacking the doctor in self-defence, the nurse managed to escape, hid in a field nearby and then called the police. According to Sanjay Kumar Pandey, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, a team first made sure that the nurse was fine, then rushed to the hospital and arrested the three accused - the doctor Sanjay Kumar and his two associates identified as Sunil Kumar Gupta and Awadhesh Kumar.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, the men had planned this rape - they had first locked the hospital and then before trying to rape the nurse, they had turned off the CCTV cameras. In a statement he said, “The presence of mind and courage shown by the survivor is praiseworthy.”

A half bottle of liquor, three cell phones, the blade used by the nurse and blood-stained clothes have been recovered; the accused will also be charged on laws against alcohol consumption as Bihar is a dry state.
