India's second richest billionaire in the retail sector MA Yusuff Ali won the hearts of netizens after his gesture of offering a job on the spot to a young boy Pranav who was born with both hands.
Pranav, who had sketched the Kerala-born businessman met with him on the sidelines of the opening of his new mall in Palakkad district in Kerala. Ali enthusiastically was seen posing for a selfie with Pranav at the mall in the presence of Palakkad MLA Shafi Parambil as well as senior staff associated with Lulu Group.

The boy uses his limb to click a selfie with Ali and then fishes out his mobile phone using his leg from his pocket. "Oh you can access your own mobile too," exclaimed Yusuff Ali as he posed for a selfie again with the young boy. The businessman also kissed the boy on his head in a warm gesture.
After the moments of happiness, Pranav, in hesitation is seen requesting Ali whether he can offer any suitable job to him. Hearing his request, the Lulu Group owner, who has over 200 plus malls across the world asked him, what job can you do? " I am confident enough to do any job, sir," replied Pranav.

Ali instantly called out his senior staff and directed him to provide a suitable job for Pranav, who was visibly in tears by then.
"Next time I visit this Mall, I want to see this boy working with us," Ali instructed his staff.

Philanthropy is not new to Yusuff Ali. Last week, the group committed 50 tonnes of relief supply to Gaza. Ali is known to have pledged one crore every year to an art centre here for differently abled children.
This contribution is designed to continue even after his death. When Kochi got engulfed in the toxic fumes of the Brahamapuram Waste Management plant fire, he announced assistance of rupees one crore.

His contribution of Rs 5 crore to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's relief fund in 2020 was also equally applauded. In 2018, he donated rupees five crores to Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund as well.
Apart from this, the Lulu Group even pledged financial assistance to multiple NGOs working for the protection of the elderly. His gesture of taking Kashmiri apples through his retail network to the world market also received much appreciation from the union government.
