After meeting Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Khadse doesn't rule out leaving BJP

BJP leader Eknath Khadse did not rule out the possibility of joining any other party while talking to the media after his meeting with Uddhav Thackeray.

Speaking to media after meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday, BJP leer Eknath Khse did t rule out possibility of joining any or party. While maintaining that he was t upset, he conceded that he h close relations with leers of Sena, Congress, and NCP. Moreover, he stated that re was thing wrong with overtures of se parties. Khse has been vocal in his indirect criticism of former CM Devendra Fnavis since formation of Maha Vikas Aghi government. He has alleged that elements within BJP were responsible for defeat of his daughter Rohini and Pankaja Munde.

Khse observed, “Firstly, news that I am unhappy is incorrect. I have a close relationship with leers of all three parties- Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena after being in politics for many years. Many leers talk to us. Everyone feels that if a political worker having experience of 40-42 years is on our party, n our party will be strengned. It is t wrong for m to put forth ir expectations. But I have t taken any decision regarding this.”

'I me same demand which I me to Pawar' 

BJP leer also talked about his meetings with NCP supremo Shar Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray. Downplaying any political motive, he claimed that discussions pertained only to speed up irrigation projects in his constituency. Furrmore, he revealed that he h requested Maharashtra CM to complete construction of a memorial for late Gopinath Munde.

BJP leer remarked, “Yesterday, I held a 30-minute long discussion with Shar Pawar. While holding discussions with Uddhav, I me same demand which I me to Pawar that both irrigation projects in my constituency will require Rs.6,600 crore. And Centre is rey to provide funds for this. But if you take it forward, projects will be cleared speedily. And Uddhav approved it and said that we will definitely help with this project. Second, Pankaja Munde has organised a garing on December 12 in Parli. Every year, we are re for this garing. Even this year, all of us are going to be present re. When I was a minster, I me available a plot for building a memorial for Gopinath Munde in Aurangab. However, since my leaving minister’s post, memorial of Gopinath Munde has still t been built. This memorial will t cost a lot. This is a project just worth Rs.30-40 crore. I requested Uddhav, that at least he should try to fulfill this project in his tenure, something which couldn’t materialise in previous government. Uddhav has assured that y will help provide funds for Gopinath Munde’s memorial on a priority basis."
