BJP MLA Soraisam Kebi Devi Rescued From Mob Attack In Imphal After Fresh Violence In Manipur
Manipur on Saturday witnessed fresh violence after violent mob targeted ministers residence while a BJP MLA was also seen being escorted by the cops.

Imphal: Soraisam Kebi Devi, a BJP MLA from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa assembly constituency, was escorted by police officials as she was trying to escape a mob attack in Imphal, after fresh incidents of violence in Manipur on Saturday. Cops rescued her to a safe place.
A video has surfaced showing police escorting BJP MLA amid a huge crowd. She was seen rushing to a safer place when crowd went violent.

Meanwhile, authorities in Imphal West District re-imposed a curfew which started at 4:30 am on Saturday (today) until furr notice, due to prevailing law and order situation in district.
Earlier, authorities h relaxed curfew from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm on November 16, as per an order dated November 15. However, this relaxation order now stands cancelled with immediate effect.

Individuals involved in essential services, including healthcare, will be exempt from curfew.
An order issued by Th Kirankumar, District Magistrate, Imphal West District, on Saturday stated, “Now, due to developing law and order situation in district, above-mentioned curfew relaxation order stands cancelled with immediate effect, i.e., from 4:30 pm on November 16, 2024. Total curfew is imposed with effect from 4:30 pm on November 16, 2024, until furr orders.”

"All persons involved in essential services such as health, electricity, CAF & PD, PHED, petrol pumps, municipality, press and electronic media, functioning of courts, and to-and-fro movement of flight passengers to airport, as well as contractors/workers with valid Airport Entry Permit (AEP) cards, shall be exempted from curfew," order furr stated.
