BJP MP Rakesh Sinha on Thursday spoke about the devious attempt by Pakistan stooges on social media to defame the channel and incite violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the forces against India were ' frightened by assertive Indian media' and said that the act was an attack on the fourth estate and called for condemnation by democratic groups.

"The way the video was doctored by some agencies which are inimical to India, they are so frightened by assertive Indian media which is telecasting everything that is objective and impartial. They are afraid of the impartial thing, they are afraid of the assertion of Indian people, hence mischievous propaganda to defame a particular TV channel. I think this is an attack on the fourth estate and this happened during World War I & II and since then there was a consensus that media would not be attacked in such a way. I appeal to democratic forces to condemn the act of such forces which are inimical to India and damaging India's credibility," he said.

Earlier, BJP MP Dr Subramanian Swamy spoke about the recent expose by Republic of these handles when it tried to spread a sliced and diced video from the channel with the devious intent to drum-up violence.
"They are angry as people are watching Republic TV and nobody wants to watch Pakistan TV, therefore they are doing this, and they are trying to see whether India will be upset. Republic has established its credentials as a channel which cares for the rights of Indians and the national integrity of India. Whatever has happened, Pakistan has been exposed," he said.

Republic TV's Editor-In-Chief Arbab Goswami brought the issue on The Debate which had the motion - Twitter Must Clarify.
"The problem is that Twitter does not care to clarify. The problem is that Twitter allows venomous Pakistani handles to spew ad-nauseam against national interest. And hence today we seek your support against Pak information warfare. The hashtag is #TwitterMustClarify. Twitter is operating in India and if it is allowing India's national interest to be compromised then it must clarify," he said
