A week ago, JNU was in the news after anti-national slogans were heard yet again from within the campus, this time against the abrogation of Article 370 that withdraws the special status provided to Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources informed that meetings were called to demand to bring back of Article 370 and 'Azadi' slogans were allegedly raised. Article 370 provided special status to the state and made way for Article 35 A that defined the permanent residents of the state, thereby barring citizens from another part of the country from many facilities in the state.

In the video accessed by Republic, a man was saying: "If it is your home, and I occupy it, it is an atrocity. Kashmiris will not accept this atrocity. When his culture will not be there, how will he show his face, what will he say on being asked who is he?" After this, Azadi slogans were raised and slogans of 'Article 370 vapas lao' (bring back Article 370) was heard.
