Blast at Jammu Bus stand: LIVE Updates

This is the third such incident at the Jammu bus stand in just the last 12 months. Three people had been injured in the previous two incidents.

The number of injured persons has gone up to 28, as per the latest inputs.

"Jammu has generally been incident-free. Let the police investigate": BR Subramaniam, Chief Secretary of J&K.

"The blast was outside the bus - it was a Punjab Roadways bus. We had parked it just two minutes before the blast": Conductor of the bus that was attacked who is injured and in hospital.

MoS Defence Subhash Bhamre on grenade explosion at Jammu bus stand: Local investigation has been initiated into the incident. The government has already given complete liberty to the forces to take all necessary steps.

A 17-year-old youth from Haridwar has succumbed to injuries sustained in the Jammu bus stand grenade attack, as tweeted by the IGP Jammu

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has condemned the grenade explosion in Jammu.

As per sources, 12 persons have been detained for questioning by the police.

J&K police confirms that it was a grenade explosion, and that no suspect has been taken into custody yet

Jammu's chief secretary has confirmed that the injury toll has gone up to 26. All the injured have been referred to GMC Jammu

As per sources, the target was a J&K state transport bus. The grenade exploded outside it.
