Blast in Punjab's Tarn Taran: Cops not ruling out terrorism,NIA called
Two people were killed and one got grievous injuries in a blast. The police state that the incident occurred due to the 3 of them were meddling with explosives.

Two people were killed and one got grievously injured in a blast in an agricultural field in Tarn Taran district of Punjab on early Thursday, police said. They were reportedly digging the ground in Pandori Gola village when the blast occurred, as per a police official. All the victims were locals and the injured was admitted to a nearby hospital. The cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained, said the official.
Two people killed, one injured
The deceased have been identified as Happy, a resident of Bachre village and Vicky, a resident of Kadgill village. The police state that the incident happened at around 9 pm on September 4 when the three of them were fiddling with explosives. Punjab Police has requested the National Investigative Agency (NIA) to visit the blast site at Tarn Taran. Inspector-General of Police Border Range Amritsar Sarinderpal Singh Parmar, IPS was on the spot and the Forensic Team is also on way.
According to reports, the Punjab police are not ruling out any angle and they are further looking into a terrorism-related angle. The Punjab police are contemplating as to why the three men were digging the agricultural field in the late hours of the night and how they did the procure the explosive pieces of equipment, they are further questioning whether the three men were present on the field to plant mines and the explosive went off due to an accident or a mistake.
Tarn Taran blast comes just a day after the explosion in Gurdaspur
The blast in Tarn Taran comes just a day after a powerful explosion in the firecracker factory in Gurdaspur. As many as 19 people are said to have been killed while 27 are injured. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had expressed their distress on the deaths of nearly two dozen people. The Punjab CM has ordered a magisterial probe and announced ₹2 lakh to be given to the deceased and ₹50 thousand to be handed over to the injured immediately.
