Blast in Punjab's Tarn Taran: Cops not ruling out terrorism,NIA called

Two people were killed and one got grievous injuries in a blast. The police state that the incident occurred due to the 3 of them were meddling with explosives.

Two people were killed and one got grievously injured in a blast in an agricultural field in Tarn Taran district of Punjab on early Thursday, police said. y were reportedly digging ground in Pandori Gola vill when blast occurred, as per a police official. All victims were locals and injured was mitted to a nearby hospital. cause of blast is yet to be ascertained, said official.

Two people killed, one injured

deceased have been identified as Happy, a resident of Bachre vill and Vicky, a resident of Kgill vill. police state that incident happened at around 9 pm on September 4 when three of m were fiddling with explosives. Punjab Police has requested National Investigative ncy (NIA) to visit blast site at Tarn Taran. Inspector-General of Police Border Range Amritsar Sarinderpal Singh Parmar, IPS was on spot and Forensic Team is also on way.

According to reports, Punjab police are t ruling out any angle and y are furr looking into a terrorism-related angle. Punjab police are contemplating as to why three men were digging agricultural field in late hours of night and how y did procure explosive pieces of equipment, y are furr questioning wher three men were present on field to plant mines and explosive went off due to an accident or a mistake.

Tarn Taran blast comes just a day after explosion in Gurdaspur

blast in Tarn Taran comes just a day after a powerful explosion in  firecracker factory in Gurdaspur. As many as 19 people are said to have been killed while 27 are injured. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh h expressed ir distress on deaths of nearly two dozen people. Punjab CM has ordered a magisterial probe and anunced ₹2 lakh to be given to deceased and ₹50 thousand to be handed over to injured immediately.
