Body of 2-Day-Old Infant Found in Abandoned Shoulder Bag in Thrissur

Thrissur: body of a two-day-old infant was found on Sunday in a shoulder bag which was abandoned on a foot overbridge at Thrissur railway station here.

bag was first noticed by a contract sweeper with Railway, which was later inspected by RPF officials who found body of infant.

" body of a two-day old male child was found. Furr investigation is on," a senior railway police official told media.

railway police has registered an FIR and investigation is on.

Officials are verifying various CCTV footages to identify person who abandoned bag.

body was shifted to Thrissur medical college, officials said.
