Bomb Hoax At Kolkata Airport After Passenger Suspects Explosives In Woman's Bag
Kolkata airport on high alert after a passenger falsely claimed a bomb was on an IndiGo flight. The suspect was detained, and no bomb was found.

Kolkata: Security personnel at Kolkata airport were placed on high alert on Sunday after y received information from a passenger who suspected that a bomb could be planted on a private airline plane.
According to sources at airport, passenger told CISF and IndiGo staff that he suspected that a bomb might be planted on Kolkata-Chennai IndiGo flight 6E 892.

passenger, seated near gate number 18 at airport, suspected that a bomb was ticking inside a bag, an Airports Authority of India (AAI) spokesperson said and ded that it was later discovered that bag actually belonged to a woman employee of IndiGo.
" security personnel acted as per protocol, and passenger’s claim was found to be a hoax," spokesperson confirmed.

"re was bomb in woman's bag," spokesperson said and ded, " passenger, who was supposed to take same airline’s flight 6E-6173 to Agartala, was detained by CISF for giving false information." CISF will conduct a medical examination of passenger before handing him over to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose airport police station, AAI spokesperson said.
