Pune: In a startling incident near Symbiosis College in the Viman Nagar area of Pune city, at least 10-12 LPG cylinders exploded earlier today, December 27. Preliminary reports suggest that approximately 100 LPG gas cylinders were being stored illegally at an under-construction site.

The explosion occurred after a fire broke out at the site, resulting in the detonation of 10 cylinders. The Pune Fire Department swiftly responded to the emergency, dispatching three fire tenders to the scene. Currently, the fire is reported to be under control.

Remarkably, despite the intensity of the explosion and subsequent fire, no damages or casualties have been reported as of now. The authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the illegal storage of the LPG cylinders and the cause of the fire.

The Pune Fire Department is expected to provide more details as the situation unfolds.
