2 Village Defence Group Members Missing in Kishtwar Feared Dead in Suspected Terror Attack

Two Village Defence Group (VDG) members who had gone missing in a suspected terrorist attack in Kishtwar are feared killed.

Kishtwar, Srinagar: Two members of a Vill Defence Group (VDG) have gone missing in Kishtwar district, sparking fears that y may have fallen victim to a terrorist attack. missing VDG members, identified as Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, h reportedly gone to Munzla Dhar area to graze ir cattle but did t return.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched an extensive search operation to locate two men. According to police sources, re is a strong suspicion that Ahmed and Kumar may have been killed by terrorists operating in upper reaches of region. As of w, ir bodies have t been found, but search effort continues.

Meanwhile, security forces have launched a massive cordon and search operation in rth Kashmir's Sopore. Acting on credible intelligence inputs regarding presence of terrorists in area, security forces surrounded suspected hideout and engd in a heavy exchange of fire.

According to an official statement, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped, and an encounter is currently underway.
