New Delhi: In a shocking incident of road rage in Delhi's Gokulpuri, a 25-year-old woman was shot dead in broad daylight on Wednesday. The incident took place at approximately 3:15 PM on Wednesday near the Gokalpuri flyover on Wazirabad Road. The deceased has been identified as Simranjeet Kaur.
Kaur, a resident of C-225 Guru Nanak Colony, Bhalaswa Dairy, Delhi, was travelling with her husband, Heera Singh, and their two children on a Bullet bike when they encountered a confrontation with another individual on a two-wheeler. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and have launched a search for the suspect.

Heera Singh, a 40-year-old supervisor at Balaji Hospital in Sarai Kale Khan, reported that the incident started when their vehicles almost collided. After a heated exchange of words, Heera Singh and his family continued driving on the left side of the flyover, while the other individual went up the flyover.
The argument continued, during which the person on the flyover reportedly fired a single shot from a distance of about 30-35 feet. The bullet struck Simranjeet Kaur in the upper chest, near the base of her neck.

The woman was taken to GTB Hospital in an auto-rickshaw, where she was declared dead upon arrival. The police have registered a case of murder and are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and nab the assailant.
