Renukaswamy Murder Case: Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa Gets 6-Week Interim Bail
The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday granted interim bail for six weeks to jailed actor Darshan Thoogudeepa.

Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court on Wednesday granted interim bail for six weeks to jailed actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, accused in Renukaswamy murder case. A single-judge bench of Justice S Vishwajith Shetty allowed interim bail application filed by Darshan to undergo medical treatment and surgery.
Meanwhile, Darshan has filed ar application for regular bail, challenging trial court's decision to deny him bail in case. application is currently awaiting a hearing before High Court.

court h reserved order on Tuesday on bail application after hearing detailed arguments from actor's legal representative, senior vocate C V Nsh, and State Public Prosecutor P Prasanna Kumar.
state h presented medical reports in a sealed cover from doctors at Ballari Central Prison, where he is lodged, and He of Department of Neurology at a government hospital in Ballari.

Darshan was arrested on June 11 and is lodged in Ballari Prison.
His bail application, submitted on September 21, was rejected by a sessions court. Following this, he petitioned High Court and requested interim bail to receive treatment.

According to police, 33-year-old Renukaswamy, a fan of actor, h sent obscene messs to his friend Pavithra Gowda (also a co-accused), which enrd Darshan, allegedly leing to his murder. His body was found near a stormwater drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli here on June 9.
Raghavendra, one of accused who is part of Darshan's fan club in Chitrurga, h brought Renukaswamy to a shed in R R Nagar here, on pretext that actor wanted to meet him. It was in this shed that he was allegedly tortured and murdered.

According to post-mortem report, Renukaswamy, a native of Chitrurga, died due to shock and hemorrh as a result of multiple blunt injuries.
Police have said Pavithra, who is accused number one, was "major cause" for Renukaswamy's murder, claiming that it has been proved from probe that she instigated or accused, conspired with m, and took part in crime.
