Another Train Derailment Conspiracy? 70 kg Cement Blocks Placed on Ajmer Tracks

A day after the possible conspiracy to derail the Kalindi Express, an attempt to derail a goods train in Ajmer has been made with 70 kg cement blocks on tracks.

Ajmer: In what seems like another derailment conspiracy, an attempt to derail a goods train in Ajmer has been made, by placing 70 kg cement blocks on the railway tracks. The incident comes a day after the Kalindi Express was derailed by an LPG cylinder placed on the railway track.

Attempt to Derail Goods Train in Ajmer 

An attempt was made to derail a goods train in Ajmer by placing 70 kg cement blocks on the railway track. The block cement broke due to collision with the goods train engine and the goods train engine has also been damaged. The Bangar Village  Station Superintendent was informed at 10:36 pm on Sunday night after which the track was inspected. 

Blocks were found at two places in the opposite line within a radius of one km which were broken due to the collision of the engine. The staff did patrolling from Saradhana to Bangar village. Everything was normal except the block collision.

Ajmer Train Derailment: Case Registered Against Unknown Persons

An attempt to derail the train was made by placing cement blocks weighing 70 kg on tracks near Saradhana Bangad village. Railway employees lodged a complaint in Mangaliyawas police station that cement blocks were kept at two places on DFC line when a goods train passed through Phulera-Ahmedabad Road, breaking both the block. Cement pieces were found up to 1 km away, luckily no major accident happened. The Mangaliyawas police station police is investigating the matter.

Another Derailment Conspiracy After Kanpur? 

This accident comes a day after an attempt was made to derail the Kalindi Express in Kanpur, by placing an LPG cylinder on the railway track. The Kalindi Express, which was traveling from Prayagraj to Bhiwani, was thwarted after the train hit an LPG cylinder placed on the tracks in the Shivrajpur area on Sunday night. The cylinder was displaced from the tracks after being struck by the train, which managed to come to a sudden stop.Police reported that the incident occurred around 8:20 pm when the train was moving at high speed. Apart from the LPG cylinder, a bottle of petrol and matchboxes were also found at the scene, suggesting a probable sabotage attempt.

An FIR has also been filed regarding the matter (Kalindi Express derailment) and several investigative teams have been formed to look into the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed that the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has initiated a separate investigation into the matter. The investigating agencies rushed to the spot and collected evidence from the spot in Kanpur.

Derailment Incidents After Threat by Terrorist Farhatullah Ghori

This incident has happened almost a week after Farhatullah Ghori, the alleged mastermind behind the March 1 Rameshwaram Cafe blast, called on Muslim youth in India to target railways and transportation networks. Following the incident, all investigative agencies are on high alert. The train derailment attempt is also being investigated from a terrorist conspiracy angle. Security agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS), have initiated a preliminary investigation into the matter.

A little over a week ago, Farhatullah Ghori, the mastermind behind the March 1 Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru, resurfaced with a new video message asking Indian youth to target government officials and rail infrastructure. In the video, which was released by Ghori two weeks ago on various Telegram channels, Ghori specifically called on Muslim youth in India to carry out attacks on railways and other transportation networks.
