BREAKING: Air India Express Flight IX613 Makes Miraculous Landing At Trichy Airport

Chennai: An Air India Express flight en route to Sharjah encountered a mid-air hydraulic failure on Friday, and made a safe landing at Trichy airport. Air India flight was circling in air for about two hours to reduce fuel before making an emergency landing back at Trichy Airport.

airline had earlier confirmed situation in a statement, ting, “Air India flight from Trichy to Sharjah faced a technical problem (hydraulic failure) and is rounding in air to decrease fuel before landing at Trichy airport.”

In preparation for landing, more than 20 ambulances and fire tenders were deployed at airport to ensure passenger safety and to prevent any potential accidents, according to Airport Director Gopalakrishnan.
