New Delhi: A total of 7 airport directors including those of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) and Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji have received bomb threatening emails. An email came at around 10:23 PM on Wednesday in which it was claimed that Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai and Ahmedabad airports would be bombed.

There was a stir at Jaipur Airport after receiving the threatening email on the official customer care ID. Following the information, the CISF officials took charge and with the help of the local police, they started investigating, combing and sanitising the airport and the flights landing there.

However, nothing suspicious has been found in their search so far, IANS reported that the CISF has also filed a written complaint with the Jaipur Airport police station.

Meanwhile, a probe is on to ascertain who sent the email to the airport directors on the ID of the customer care.

This comes a day after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a threat mail saying 11 bombs have been planted at 11 locations in Mumbai.

“The e-mail was sent from the id khilafat.india@gmail.com on the RBI governor's email ID at around 10:50 am threatening bomb blasts at the RBI new Central Office building, Fort, HDFC House in Churchgate, and ICICI Bank Tower in Bandra-Kurla Complex at 1:30 pm”, a police official had said.

Threatening execution of blasts, the sender had demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI governor Shaktikanta Das immediately and a full statement about the disclosure of the ‘banking scam’, as per the FIR.
