Bomb Threat Call Triggers Panic in Jammu-Jodhpur Train, All Passengers Evacuated

Ludhiana: On Tuesday, the Somnath Express which runs between Jammu Tawi in Jammu and Kashmir and Bhagat Ki Kothi in Rajasthan was stopped at Kasu Begu station of Punjab' Firozpur after Police received a bomb threat phone call.
According to Firozpur SSP Saumya Mishra, the area was cordoned off and passengers were safely evacuated. Residents of nearby areas were providing tea and food to the passengers at the railway station.

Upon receiving information, officials reached the sport and are currently thoroughly searching the trains and surrounding area.
Three teams of the Punjab Police's bomb disposal squad have been called in. Furthermore, dog squads of the state police and the Border Security Force were also present at the spot, the officer said.

She said, “Ferozepur police received information that a train has been stopped at Kasu Begu Railway station... Police have reached the spot and the area has been cordoned off. The passengers have been evacuated...Three bomb disposal squad teams of Punjab Police will be reaching the spot. Dog squad teams have reached the spot...”
Meanwhile, the government Railway Police and Railway Protection Force were also a part of the ongoing search operation, the SSP added. An ambulance and a fire brigade were also stationed at the spot.
