Congress, AAP Extend Support to NC in Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah Set to Return as CM

Srinagar: Days after the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024 in which Congress -National Conference emerged victorious and Omar Abdullah has been announced as the CM face, Congress has extended support to the political party, to form the government.

Congress Extends Support to National Conference 

The J&K Congress Chief Tariq Hameed Karra has announced that the Indian National Congress (INC) will give a letter of support to the National Conference (NC) by this evening to form the government.

The state party chief has also said that a legislature party meeting will be held at 3 PM today to pass a resolution, which will be sent to the Congress high command in New Delhi.

Congress Doesn't Put Forth Any Demands, High Command To Decide Roles

Congress has six members, and the high command will decide the roles in the coalition government with the NC.

Congress has no demands at present, but will present demands after the government is formed.
