Delhi LG Orders Enhanced Police Visibility, Mandates Senior Officer Accountability

New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has issued a directive to the Police Commissioner aimed at improving police visibility across the city. Saxena has requested a comprehensive list of senior officers responsible for ensuring compliance with this initiative.

The LG's office stated that a detailed duty chart, including deployment specifics and contact numbers of these senior officers, will be submitted to the LG Secretariat for ongoing oversight. 

Additionally, Saxena has urged the Police Commissioner to form teams of senior officers in plain clothes to conduct inspections and report on police presence in various areas.

Saxena emphasized the importance of this initiative, warning that any lapses in enforcement would be taken seriously.
