Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting raids at the residence of Sandip Ghosh's father, Satya Prakash Ghosh in connection with the RG Kar Financial Irregularities Case; raids are also being conducted at the residences of several other people who are aides of the ex-principal.
ED Raids Residence of Sandip Ghosh's Father
In a latest development in the RG Kar Financial Irregularities Case, stemmed from the the Kolkata Rape and Murder Case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently carrying out a search operation at several places in Kolkata and suburban areas. The raids are also being conducted at the residence of former principal of RG Kar Medical College & Hospital - Sandip Ghosh's father, Satya Prakash Ghosh.
Mamata Doctors' Preconditions for Talks
West Bengal chief secretary had invited a delegation of protesting doctors for a meeting at Nabanna but said only 12 to 15 doctors will be allowed. To meet the government, the doctors had put forth four preconditions which were rejected by CM Mamata; the demands by the doctors were -
- Representation by a Delegate Team: Doctors demand to send a team of at least 30 representatives for the meeting.
- Live Telecast of the Meeting: Doctors insist on a live broadcast for the sake of transparency. They want the general public and all stakeholders to have a clear understanding of the discussions, decisions, and any agreements reached.
- Meeting Based on 5-Point Demands: The core focus of the meeting should be centred around the five key demands that the doctors have previously outlined.
- Presence of the Chief Minister: Doctors want the Chief Minister to be present at the meeting.
