BREAKING: Encounter Breaks Out Between Security Forces and Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Karkanguda

Karkanguda: An encounter is underway between security forces and Maoists in Suklma's Karkanguda. As per officials, the encounter broke out on Tuesday (Sept 24) morning.

This comes a day after as many as three Maoists including a woman, were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Chhattisgarh 's Narayanpur district, officials told PTI.

As per the senior police, the gunfight broke out at around 4 pm in the forest of Abhujmaad on the Chhattisgarh - Maharashtra inter-border after a joint team of security personnel was out on an anti-naxal operation. 

Furthermore, he added that security personnel recovered the bodies of three Maoists, with a cache of weapons including an AK-47 rifle, from the spot.
