Fresh Encounter Breaks Out in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda, One Jawan Injured

New Delhi: A fresh encounter broke out in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda on Wednesday. According to initial reports, one Jawan has been injured. The ongoing encounter is taking place in an area located 5 kilometers from the Jammu-Himachal border.

Four days, Four terror incidents (9-12 June 2024)

1. June 9- Shiv Khori Terror attack- 09 pilgrims killed, 43 injured in attack by 02 Lashkar terrorists 

2. June 11- Terror attack turned encounter in Kathua- 1 CRPF jawan martyred; 1 civilian injured and 2 terrorist killed

3. June 11- Terrorists attacked Indian Army's Temporary Operational Base (TOB) in Chattargalla area of Doda; 06 Army men and 01 policemen injured 

4. June 12- Encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kota Top area of Gandhoh in Doda; 01 Police Constable injured

Top Police Officials To Review Security Arrangements at Vaishno Devi Shrine

Days after the tragic Shiv Khori Pilgrims bus attack incident, which claimed lives of 9 people, the top police officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police will meet on Thursday in Katra Spiritual Centre in Reasi district to review security arrangements of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. 

Director General of Police (DGP, J&K) RR Swain and all other top officials from civil as well as the police administration will remain present in the meeting.
