Hyderabad-Bangkok Nok Air flight Declares Emergency After Bomb Threat, Security Checks Underway

Hyderab: A panic situation unfolded in wee hours of Saturday when an emergency was declared on Nok Air Hyderab-Bangkok flight.

Nok Air flight DD959 which departed from Hyderab’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and was en route to Don Muang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok, issued an emergency alert earlier today. 

PRO of GMR, Mukesh said that, “All passengers were safely de-boarded and escorted to terminal after security checks, while ir luggage was also unloed and thoroughly examined.”

Efforts and analysis of security agencies to trace preparators of hoax call threats have fallen flat.

A senior official said that several teams with help of cyber experts are still working in matter, but y haven't got any breakthrough into case as all of ir efforts have reached a de end.

"It is confirmed that VPN has been used to send threats. We are following up with social media platforms to get more details of accounts that posted threats," official said.

As part of intensified security protocols, NIA has deployed a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) team at major airports.
