BREAKING: Indian Army Resumes Patrolling in Demchok and Depsang Regions: MEA Confirms

New Delhi, India: Following recent breakthroughs in India-China relations, the Indian Army has resumed patrolling in both the Demchok and Depsang regions of Eastern Ladakh, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on Thursday. 

During a press briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal addressed queries regarding the situation, confirming that patrolling in these strategically important areas had recommenced after the successful disengagement agreement with China. 

Jaiswal dismissed reports suggesting that some checkposts were off-limits to Indian forces, firmly stating, “The Indian Army has started patrolling in all checkposts in Depsang and Demchok.”
