Massive Fire Engulfs Several Houses In Patna | VIDEO

Patna: A massive fire broke out at a scrap dealing shop in Shastri Nagar area of Bihar’s capital city Patna causing a panic-like situation in entire area. According to reports, fire rapidly spre to nearby residential buildings prompting residents to escape from buildings and flee to a safer place. On information, local police and several fire tenders rushed to spot located in AG Colony in Patna and initiated efforts to control fire. As per reports, fire engulfed several houses in locality, however, casualties have been reported so far.

A police official stated that fire broke out at a shop dealing in scrap items in Shastri Nagar area of Patna on Wednesday evening. 

He said that over half a dozen fire tenders were pressed into service, which brought blaze under control. 

“ fire broke out at around 7.15 pm at a shop dealing in scrap items. Officials of local police station and fire brige immediately reached spot. fire was brought under control by 8.45 pm," Station House Officer of Shastri Nagar Police Station Amar Kumar told PTI.

Efforts are on to ascertain reason behind fire, he said.
