Massive Ruckus Erupts in J&K Assembly Over Article 370 Resolution, 2 BJP MLAs Injured

Jammu: Dramatic visuals unfolded inside Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Thursday, vember 7, after several legislators climbed over benches and engd in a heated argument over Article 370 of Constitution, which gave special status to Union Territory and was later abrogated in 2019. Amid showdown, two BJP MLAs, RS Pathania and Mohan Lal, sustained injuries.
This incident happened after Engineer Rashid's bror displayed Article 370 banner. Following which, House was initially journed for 15 minutes and later, House was journed till Friday. Visuals have emerged from inside assembly, where MLAs were seen throwing paper and raising slogans.

Chaos erupted in House after Khurshid Ahm Sheikh, bror of jailed Baramulla Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid, displayed a banner on Article 370. chaos escalated after BJP leer and Leer of Opposition in Assembly, Sunil Sharma, objected to display of banner by Ahm Sheikh, an Awami Itteh Party MLA representing Langate constituency. disruption prompted Speaker of House to journ proceedings briefly.

first day of assembly session (Monday) also witnessed chaos after People's Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Waheed Para moved a resolution opposing scrapping of Article 370 and called for restoring union territory's special status.
Meanwhile, former Union Minister and BJP leer Smriti Irani reacted strongly over resolution in J&K demanding restoration of Article 370 and Special status, by calling it "against Indian Constitution."
Smriti Irani said, "Today, I stand as an Indian outrd at attempt by Congress -led INDI alliance to bring to floor of House a resolution that is against Indian Constitution. A resolution that stands against Indian Constitution and opinion of Supreme Court of India... resolution brought by INDI alliance led by Congress brings to fore many questions. Does it stand against rights of Dalits, tribals, children and women?... Congress leership, particularly Gandhi family, needs to answer - do y stand for terrorism and stand against development of J&K? Do y stand against Constitution of India..."
