Mithun Chakraborty Gets Y-Plus Security After Threats on Social Media

Kolkata: Veteran actor and BJP leer, Mithun Chakraborty, was on Tuesday provided Y-plus security cover after he received threats on social media. After Y-plus security sanctioned to Mithun Chakraborty, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) upgred his security after actor-turned-politician received threats on social media. 

According to media reports, Chakraborty was threatened by a Pakistan gangster on social media. Indian Express reported that Pakistani don Shahz Bhatti, in a video mess, threatened him with dire consequences if he did t apologise within 10-15 days for his alleged anti-Muslim comment.

A few days ago on vember 6, two FIRs were lodged against actor-turned-politician for allegedly making provocative statements during a BJP event in Salt Lake area near Kolkata last month.

complaints pertain to Chakraborty's speech on October 27 at Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) in Salt Lake, during a BJP programme attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah , who was in Kolkata to launch party's West Bengal membership drive.

Chakraborty, who received India's highest film hour, Dasaheb Phalke Award, earlier this year, h asserted on October 27 that 'masn' (throne) of West Bengal would belong to BJP after 2026 assembly elections, promising to do whatever it takes to achieve goal.

Meanwhile, actor held poll campaigns for his party in Jharkhand ahe of state assembly elections on Monday. Chakraborty led a massive roshow in East Singhbhum district. He campaigned for BJP candidate Meera Munda, wife of former CM Arjun Munda, in Potka constituency.

A large crowd, which included a significant number of women, gared to have a glimpse of Bollywood superstar as roshow covered Gopalpur, Rakha Mines and Jugora areas.

Chakraborty n went to Dahigora Circus Maidan in Ghatsila where he briefly dressed a rally in favour of BJP candidate Babulal Soren.
