Parliament’s Winter Session To Begin From November 25
The winter session of Parliament will be held from November 25 and will likely conclude by December 20.

New Delhi: winter session of Parliament will be held from vember 25 and will likely conclude by December 20, said Union Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
In a post on X, Union Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju said, “ Hon’ble President, on recommendation of Government of India, has approved proposal for summoning of both Houses of Parliament for Winter Session, 2024 from 25th vember to 20th December, 2024 (subject to exigencies of parliamentary business).”

Winter Session To Begin From v 25, Likely To Conclude By Dec 20
Parliamentary Affairs Minister also said that on vember 26, 2024 (Constitution Day), 75th Anniversary of adoption of Constitution, an event would be celebrated in Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan in this regard.
Earlier, Monsoon Session of Parliament concluded on August 9, ahead of its scheduled end on August 12. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned sine die on Friday, one sitting earlier than planned, following a decision by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

During session, several significant developments took place, including pass of Finance Bill. Additionally, a bill to amend Waqf Act was introduced and referred to a joint parliamentary committee amid protests over its provisions.
On July 23, 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented Union Budget for 2024-2025. general discussion on budget lasted 27 hours and 19 minutes, with 181 members participating. Finance Minister responded to discussion on July 30, according to Speaker Om Birla.
