New Delhi: Days after the roof Delhi's Terminal-1 airport collapsed amid heavy rains, two people were injured after a part of the roof at the national capital's Hyatt Regency Hotel collapsed on Monday night.
The incident reportedly took place on July 1, a temporary shed within the Hyatt Regency Hotel compound collapsed, resulting in minor injuries to a couple from Punjab who were trapped in the debris, said Delhi Police.
As per a English Daily report, Amit Jain, 42, and his wife Reva Jain, 32, residents of Civil Lines in Ludhiana, were taken to Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj. "Amit sustained head injuries, while his wife suffered minor injuries. No complaint has been filed by them," stated an officer.
A senior officer stated that the cause of the roof collapse near the lobby passageway is being determined. The area was forensically examined, and statements from the hotel staff were collected, the officer added.
Earlier on Friday, one person was killed and six others were injured after the collapse of the roof of Delhi airport's Terminal-1.
