Terrorist Injured in Doda Encounter, M4 Rifle Recovered

Jammu: In ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district between security forces and hiding militants, a terrorist was injured in gun fight. 

Meanwhile, security forces also recovered a M4 rifle from Assar area of district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Security forces launched an anti-terror operation in region amid a surge in terror attacks which has claimed lives of many security personnel and civilians this year. encounter began on Wednesday evening.

recovery was me near in a riverine in Assar area of district where some terrorists are believed to be trapped.

Apart from weapon, three rucksack bags were also recovered.

Following encounter, blood stains were also found in area. More terrorists are suspected to be hiding in area.

Indian Army and J&K police have launched cordon and search operation in Akar forest.
