After Air India, 2 IndiGo Flights From Mumbai Receive Bomb Threat; All Passengers Safe

Mumbai: A security scare unfolded at Mumbai International Airport on Monday after bomb threats were reported on two IndiGo flights—one headed to Jeddah and the other to Muscat from Mumbai. 

"IndiGo flight 6E 56, operating from Mumbai to Jeddah, received a bomb threat. Following protocol, the aircraft was moved to an isolated bay, and standard security checks were immediately carried out," said an IndiGo spokesperson.

"Similarly, IndiGo flight 6E 1275, en route from Mumbai to Muscat, also received a bomb threat. The aircraft was taken to an isolated bay, and mandatory security checks were promptly initiated," as per IndiGo spokesperson .

Bomb Scare on New York-bound Air India

Moreover, the same day, New York-bound Air India flight carrying 239 passengers from Mumbai was diverted to the Delhi airport following a security concern arising out of a bomb threat in the aircraft. Officials said all passengers have disembarked and the aircraft was being searched.

"The aircraft is currently stationed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, and all standard safety protocols are being diligently followed to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew on board," a senior police officer stated.

Bomb Threat on Mumbai-Howrah Mail 

 Panic erupted after Mumbai-Howrah Mail received a bomb threat on Monday, the Central Railway  (CR) said. According to Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the Central Railway, the Mumbai-Howrah train received a threat to blow up the train with a timer bomb.

Railways said that its control room received a bomb threat at around 4am. As a precautionary measure, the train, bearing 12809 number, was halted at Jalgaon station in  Maharashtra  and thoroughly checked. However, no suspicious object was found inside the train.
