Coronavirus: British man lands in trouble for selling 'Anti-Coronavirus Juice' in Kerala

As per reports, the man told the cops that it was just a juice made of ginger, lemon and gooseberry and he named it as 'anti-corona virus juice'.

A British national was reported to Kerala authorities for selling 'anti-coronavirus juice' for Rs 150 on Wednesday, March 18. According to reports, shocking incident took place in Varkala, which is a tourist hotspot located nearly 45 kilometres from state capital of Thiruvananthapuram.  

As per reports, foreigner ran a cafe in region and it is believed that some local people reported matter to police.

As per reports, man told  cops that it was just a juice me of ginger, lemon and gooseberry and he named it as 'anti-corona virus juice'. Inspector of police of Varkala area said that foreign national, d around 60, did t have any malicious intentions and h t sold juice to anyone.

According to police, police let man go after giving him a strong warning against such tactics. As per reports, Varkala has been under tight security watchdog amid growing numbers of coronavirus cases as an Italian tourist who resided at Varkala tested positive for COVID-19 disease.

'Break Chain' campaign

Meanwhile, Kerala Government in a bid to contain spre of vel coronavirus has launched a massive handwashing campaign named 'Break Chain'. As per latest figures released by Union Health Ministry, 151 positive cases of virus have been reported pan-India with Kerala reporting 24 cases. 

Under 'Break Chain' campaign, Pinarayi Vijayan-led government has installed several water taps with hand wash bottles in public places across State such as at entry and exit gates of railway stations, bus stops and or areas that see mass footfall. awareness campaign is also actively encouraging people to use hand sanitisers when y are outdoors. Sanitisers amidst or hygiene products has also been me available in all offices.
