BSF Bengal Frontier greets Bangladesh Border Guards on Eid-ul-Adha, exchanges sweets

The Border Security Force exchanged sweets and greetings with Border Guard Bangladesh on the occasion of Bakrid as a friendly gesture.

Bengal Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday exchanged sweets and greetings with Border Guard Banglesh (BGB) on occasion of Eid-ul-ha. sweet exchanges were done at all Border Out Posts (BOPs) along International Border in Bengal. BGB and BSF exchange gifts and greetings during religious and national celebrations as a trition with an aim to bolster friendly ties between two countries.

Sharing pictures from friendly exchange at an outpost, y wrote, “greetings on occasion of Eid-al-ha.” In a statement, BSF said, that ‘friendly gesture’ between two border guarding forces is aimed at maintaining ‘peace, tranquillity, harmony, mutual brorhood and affection' between two countries.

“ festival of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) is a symbol of dedication and sacrifice. Sacrifice is of great importance in Islam. It is said that sacrifice your dearest thing in way of Lord. Spending in way of Lord means doing best and best deeds. Eid-ul-ha inspires to make all kinds of sacrifices while walking on path of truth. It is such, a auspicious month in which all Muslims of world perform important pilgrim of performing Hajj in Mecca and Medina,” BSF said in a statement.

“On holy and auspicious occasion of this Eid-ul-ha (Bakrid), Border Security Force and Border Guard Banglesh troops also greeted each or at various Border Out Posts (BOPs) on International border of India and Banglesh. Sweets were exchanged between Border Security Force and Border Guard Banglesh at all Border Out Posts (BOPs) of rth Bengal Frontier. This friendly gesture between two border guarding forces will help to maintain peace, tranquillity, harmony, mutual brorhood and affection between both countries,” statement ded.

BSF DG reviewed security at India-Banglesh border

Earlier this month, BSF Director-General Rakesh Asthana completed a two-day visit to India-Banglesh border in order to review security in region. BSF DG reviewed  area during his visit and was briefed by Army generals about emerging challenges on border sites. During his visit, DG Rakesh Asthana also inaugurated two new Border Out-Posts and a 120-men barrack at SHQ Jalpaiguri for accommodation of soldiers during tour.
