BSP Chief Mayawati opposes Farm Bills; says 'Centre should focus on farmers' needs'
Chief of BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) Mayawati took to Twitter on Friday to express her disapproval against the two agriculture bills passed by Lok Sabha.

Chief of BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) Mayawati took to Twitter on Friday to express her disapproval against two Agriculture bills passed by Lok Sabha. She furr pointed out that ordinance aimed at agricultural reforms was passed without clarifying doubts of farmers. Mayawati also stated that BSP will t agree or support agriculture bill.
BSP Chief against Agriculture Bill
After two agriculture bills were passed in Lok Sabha, BSP chief Mayawati took a stand against it and suggested that Centre failed to focus on needs of farmers in country. Mayawati took to Twitter to share her stance on ordinances which were related to 'reforms' in agriculture marketing. BSP chief ded that Lok Sabha passed ordinances while farmers were still unsure about it and h left m in doubt.

"Two bills related to farmers were passed in Parliament yesterday without clearing doubts of farmers and BSP does t agree with this. It will be better if Central government focuses on what farmers in country want," re her tweet in Hindi.

She furr ded that farm sector bills are against vision and legacy of S as well as ir commitment to farmers and ir needs. Harsimrat Kaur Bal's resignation was accepted by President of India.

Agriculture Bill in Lok Sabha
In a debate in Lok Sabha, Union Agriculture Minister claimed that legislation will put an end to 'licence raj' freeing farmers to sell ir produce as per ir choice. Several parties including Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal along with BSP opposed Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion And Facilitation) Bill 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment And Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill 2020. agriculture ordinances were passed by Lok Sabha on Thursday while Agriculture Minister attempted to ease strong opposition of bill and said, "Both se acts will empower agricultural ecomy."
