Bullock cart owner fined ₹1000 under Section 81 of the new MV Act

In a recent incident in Dehradun, a bullock cart owner was asked to pay a fine of Rs 1,000 under section 81 of the new MV Act. His fine was later cancelled

Ever since imposition of Motor Vehicle Act 2019, shocking instances of people being handed exorbitant fines under  same have been recorded. In a recent incident in Dehrun, a bullock cart owner was asked to pay a fine of Rs 1000 under section 81 of MV Act.

As per sources, owner of bullock cart, identified as Riaz Hassan, resides in Charba Vill in Sahaspur and h parked his bullock cart next to his farm near a local rivulet on Saturday. During a patrol, a police team heed by sub-inspector Pankaj Kumar called for Riaz and handed him a challan.

Riaz, reportedly asked patrolling team on how y could ask him a fine when bullock carts are t even included in Act. He also threw light upon  fact that cart was parked outside his own field.  cops n reportedly backed out and challan was cancelled on same day.

As per reports, Sahaspur police station in-charge PD Bhatt said that patrolling took place because of purported information on illegal mining stated:

"As most of villrs take sand left after mining on bullock carts, team thought that Hassan's cart was being used for same purpose".

New Delhi police h recently fined a man for playing music on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. man, identified as Raghav Swati Pruthi, recently bought a Harley-Davidson Ro Glide Special that h an inbuilt factory fit audio system. As he started his motorcycle after a traffic signal turned green, he was pulled over by a police car and cops asked him for his license and asked him to come to police station and handed him a challan later.

Similarly, a truck driver was fined over Rs 2 lakh in Delhi last week. In ar incident, an auto driver was also was fined Rs 1,000 in Bihar for t wearing a seat belt, although three-wheeler boasts such provision.
