Businessman Makes Video Call To Son, Later Dies By Suicide After Jumping Off Bandra Worli Sea Link
A businessman allegedly died by suicide by jumping off Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL) in Mumbai after informing his son about his intention on video call.

Mumbai: A businessman allegedly died by suicide by jumping off Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL) in Mumbai. According to the reports, the deceased businessman, before jumping off the bridge, made a WhatsApp video call to his 22-year-old son and informed him about his intention to end his life. A senior Mumbai police official confirmed the incident, saying that the incident took place on Wednesday, following which a search operation was initiated in the high-tidal sea and the body was fished out after around 3 hours.
The deceased has been identified as Bhavesh Nagin Seth (56), a resident of Ghatkopar. During preliminary inquiry, it was found that the businessman was under extreme stress due to financial problems and may have taken the step due to it.

A note had been found in which Seth, addressing his son, wrote, "Sorry beta, I am going to commit suicide. Take care of the family".
"The incident took place at 3.15 pm on Wednesday. Seth asked a motorist for a lift at the toll plaza claiming his car had broken down. He got off midway, made a video call to his son and told him about his plan to end his life. Seth then jumped into the sea. After his son alerted police, Seth's body was fished out three hours later," the official said.

A case has been registered at Bandra police station and further probe is underway, he added.
