CBSE Class 10 Results: Here's how PM Narendra Modi wished Class X students after their CBSE results were announced

After the CBSE results for Class 10 were announced PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to congratulate the students.  Calling the Class X students his young friends, he congratulated them for their success. He also congratulated their teachers and parents.

Calling the Class X students his young friends, he congratulated them for their success. He also congratulated their teachers and parents.

"Proud of my young friends who have successfully cleared the CBSE Class X examinations. Wishing them the very best for their journey ahead. May these young minds continue making us proud. Congratulations also to their teachers and parents! #CBSE10thresult," he said.

Class 10 exams were conducted from February 2 to March 29, while Class 12 board exams were held from February 15 to 4 April. This year, over 27 lakh candidates appeared for the Class 10 CBSE exams.

The updates till now are as such:

The overall pass percentage is 91.1%, which is an increase from last year's 86.4%

13 students have scored 499 out of 500 marks

25 students have scored 498 out of 500 marks

While 58 students have scored 497 out of 500 marks.

Last week, the results for Class 12 exam were announced way ahead of the schedule. The CBSE was also ahead of the ICSE board which is the first to announce the results every year.

CBSE on Thursday, May 2, declared the results of Class 12 board examinations. The pass percentage jumped by 0.31 percent this year and stood at 83.4 percent. The top three performing regions are Thiruvananthapuram (98.2 percent), Chennai (92.93 percent) and New Delhi (91.87 percent).
