CBSE to introduce Artificial Intelligence as elective subject in school

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to Artificial Intelligence as an elective subject, say reports. The board came up with the idea to have Artificial Intelligence in the syllabus after a session with the government’s policy think tank, the NITI Aayog. After the session, the board has been exploring the topic.

Artificial Intelligence is a part of computer science which focuses on creating super-intelligent robots with capability of imitating humans.

A member of board’s governing body said that move was me to introduce topic for classes 8, 9 and 10 as a skill subject.

member also said that since techlogies like artificial intelligence, data analytics and big data making a huge impact globally, board wanted to stay abreast of recent leaps in techlogies in world.

governing body's member also said that board will help schools so that y are equipped to begin with 'teaching-learning' of topic from next acemic session.

official also said that board held talks with stakeholders, including with a school that was alrey teaching subject and that decision to include subject was me after 'comprehensive discussion'

CBSE has 20,299 schools in India and 220 schools in 25 or countries.

In October,  a painting created by artificial intelligence was sold at 432,000 US Dollars, at  Christie's Prints and Multiples art auction in New York. portrait called  'Portrait of Edmond Bellamy' features a gentleman dressed in black.  artwork was expected to fetch between 7,000 to 10,000 US Dollars, however, it has shocked everyone by making 432,000 US Dollars.
