She said that coffee baron was depressed due of "harassment from different ncies", failed to run his business and finally gave up.

She likened incident to businessmen contemplating to leave country in face of huge pressure at a time when opposition political parties were afraid of horse tring and harassment for political vendetta.
"I am deeply shocked by incident relating to V G Siddhartha, Coffee Cafe Day founder. It is indeed very s and very unfortunate".

"From what he has expressed (in his letter), it appears that he was greatly depressed due to harassment and pressure from different ncies for which he could t run his business in a peaceful manner," Banerjee wrote on her Facebook wall Wednesday.

"I hear from different sources that captains of industry in country are under pressure; some of m have left country and some are contemplating to move out. All opposition political parties are afraid of horse tring and harassment with political vendetta," Banerjee stated extending her condolences to Siddhartha's family members.

Trinamool Congress supremo said at a time when ecomic growth of country has sedived to lowest in first quarter of 2018-19 and unemployment has reached highest level, Centre is mulling options to disinvest government assets.

" overall ecomy is in b shape with common people suffering most. Industry and agriculture and creation of employment is future of our country. If industry is demoralised, n re will be ecomic and employment growth. As a result, more and more people will become jobless," she ded.
West Bengal Chief Minister appealed Centre to work "in a peaceful manner" to help people live in confidence and "political vendetta and ncies do t destroy future of country".
"My appeal to government is that when you have been elected, you have to work in a peaceful manner so that people are confident and that political vendetta and ncies do t destroy future of country," Banerjee wrote.
Centre is attempting to disinvest government assets "From Ordnance Factory Board to BSNL, from Air India to Railways, from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works to Alloy Steel Plant in Durgapur and about 45 more public sector undertakings," she said.
