Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday appealed to people of state to celebrate Ganesh festival in a simple manner by following all social distancing rms.
Pawar, who was here to take a review of COVID-19 situation, wished citizens on eve of Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed to Lord Ganesha to make state coronavirus-free.

"I appeal to people to celebrate festival in a simple manner by following all social distancing rms and avoid crowding," a release issued by district administration quoted Pawar as saying.
Pawar, during review meeting, instructed district administration to ensure that re is short of beds in hospitals and COVID care centres.

He also asked officials to keep working on bringing case fatality rate down.
