'Celebrations will not be like they are usually', but PM Modi greets Indians on festivals

As the nation celebrates various festivals like Navratri, Ugadi, Navreh, Gudi Padava and Sajibu Cheiraoba on Wednesday, PM Modi has extended his greetings.

As nation celebrates various festivals like Navratri, Ugi, Navreh, Gudi Pava and Sajibu Cheiraoba on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings. Prime Minister Modi said that may se auspicious occasions bring good health, happiness and prosperity in people's lives. 

'May we keep working to fight COVID-19 toger'

Prime Minister said that India is marking se festivals at a time when  nation is battling COVID-19 menace. " celebrations will t be like y are usually but y will strengn our resolve to overcome our circumstances. May we keep working to fight COVID-19 toger," PM Modi said.

Extending his wishes on Navratri, Prime Minister Modi in a tweet in Hindi said, over years he has been worshipping goddess. He said, "This time, I will pray for  best health, safety and accomplishment of all nurses, doctors, medical staff, policemen and media workers who are engd in fight against Corona."

As 21-day lockdown in country begins from Wednesday and all places of religious worships being closed for people, Uttar Presh government has decided to go virtual from all major Religious spots in state. government has started initiative to ensure that people do t come out of ir homes keeping in mind festivals like Navratri.

' religious congregations will be permitted'

In his dress to nation on March 24, PM Modi anunced that starting midnight on March 24, entire country will be under complete lockdown for next 21 days to counter Coronavirus. Soon after, Home Ministry released detailed guidelines on measures to be taken by central and state level to contain COVID-19 epidemic. 

According to official guidelines, all places of worship will be closed for public for next three weeks. Also, religious congregations will be permitted, without any exception.  official tification says, "All places of worships shall be closed for public. religious congregations will be permitted, without any exception."
