Chandrayaan-2 launch: Congress faces massive social media backlash after crediting ISRO's mission success to former PMs Jawaharlal Nehru & Manmohan Singh

In yet another shameful act, the Congress party took to Twitter moments after the ISRO's Chandrayaan-2 liftoff from Sriharikota, and credited the historic success of the ISRO scientists to former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr. Manmohan Singh. 

In its tweet, the Congress party credited Pt Nehru for 'funding space research' through INCOSPAR in 1962, and then Dr Singh for sanctioning the Chandrayaan-2 project in 2008.

The Grand Old Party, previously led by Rahul Gandhi, said that it a good time to remember the visionary move of India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru to fund the space research through INCOSPAR in 1962, which later went onto become ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). It went onto credit former PM Dr Manmohan Singh for sanctioning the Chandrayaan 2 project in 2008.

However, Congress remarks over the successful launch of ISRO's Chandryaan-2 has not gone down well with the social media users as they tore the party with their comments. The party with no leadership currently faced massive backlash from netizens for not crediting the ISRO scientist over the success of the Chandrayaan-2 mission.

Meanwhile, at 3:07 PM, few minutes after the launch, the GSLVMkIII-M1 successfully injected Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft into Earth Orbit.
