Chennai: The Indian Air Force Air Show 2024 is being conducted today, on October 6 in the Tamil Nadu capital. Ahead of this IAF Air Show 2024, Chennai Traffic Police has issued an advisory for the locals. Read to know the details about the same.

Chennai Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead of IAF Air Show 2024

The traffic advisory has been issued by the Greater Chennai Traffic Police via a post on their official social media account on ‘X' (formerly known as Twitter).

The advisory reads, “As the Indian Air Force (IAF) prepares to host a spectacular air show on 06.10.2024, at Marina Beach, the Greater Chennai Traffic Police urges the public to plan their travel accordingly to ensure a smooth experience.”

As part of their traffic advisory, Chennai Police has also mentioned travel recommendations for the locals, to ensure long traffic jams are avoided and the IAF Air Show 2024 is also conducted smoothly.

The advisory further reads, "Use Metro and MRTS Services: These transport options will help you bypass road traffic and arrive at the venue comfortably. 

Plan Ahead: Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and enjoy the pre-show atmosphere.

All About IAF Air Show 2024

The IAF Air Show 2024 is being held in Chennai and started at 11:00 am on October 6. This year's theme is 'Bhartiya Vayu Sena - Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar' (Potent, Powerful, Self-Reliant). According to Group Captain Supandeep Singh, “10-12 lakh people are expected to come to the aerial display in Chennai.”
