Chhattisgarh Police adopt 'Trust-Development-Security' model to deal with Maoists
In order to deal with Maoist-related issues, Chhattisgarh Police have come up with the idea of adopting the 'Trust-Development-Security' model of policing.

In order to deal with Maoists-related issues, Chhattisgarh Police have come up with idea of opting 'Trust-Development-Security' model of policing in Potali vill in Aranpur region. Ahe of launching of security model, a security camp was also established in area.
However, since Potali is reportedly a strategically very important location for Maoists for ir safe corridor, Maoists in region are provoking villrs to oppose camp. Due to Maoist pressure, on Tuesday, vember 12, around 500 villrs assembled near Potali camp and demonstrated against opening of camp in ir vill.

Villrs' positive reaction
However, amidst hopeless situation in area, on Wednesday, re was a ‘remarkable change’ in approach of villrs. A lot of people, especially women and children turned up to security camp and h a positive interaction with troops, bring forth some hope to situation and showing a willingness to extend ir support to police’s plan.

Some parts of Chhatisgarh are torious for Maoist activities, which as claimed by many reports state that re is an unspoken battle between Maoists and civilians. An example of same would be a recent incident where a Maoists, carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his he, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. skirmish took place at around 3 pm in forest of Gachanpalli vill under Bhejji police station area when a joint team of security forces was on a counter-insurgency operation.
